The Sky-Watcher 0.9× Reducer / Field Flattener is a dedicated optical corrector designed for the Evolux-82ED refractor. Using a high-quality two-element design with one ED element, it both reduces focal length and flattens the image field, delivering crisp star images across the entire frame — ideal for serious wide-field astrophotography.

Faster focal ratio, wider framing

When installed, this reducer shortens the Evolux-82ED’s focal length by 0.9×, transforming it into a faster, more capable imaging system:

• Focal length: 477mm

• Focal ratio: f/5.8

• Field of view: approx. 4.34°

The faster optics allow shorter exposures while capturing more of the sky in a single frame — perfect for nebulae, large galaxies, Milky Way frames and star clusters.

Edge-to-edge sharpness

The integrated field flattener provides excellent field-edge correction, illuminating a full-frame sensor and maintaining pinpoint stars across a 36mm image circle. This is especially beneficial for DSLR and full-frame astro cameras.
